Pea Seed
At harvest of sweet pea seeds, do you have to wait until the pods turn brown?

If you wait too sheath opening and spreading the seeds and where it is. The birds? However, when part of the pod is still green so are some of the seeds. Is the green grow next year or useless? But do you know if the green seeds are viable? If I let go to turn brown, but have to "adjust"? I am experiencing with them. I planted a seed to see if green sprout. Thank you both for your input.
