Is it wrong to display an American flag hanging on the wall as decoration?
I am a very patriotic person and I like to show this important part of my life. I want to buy a really big (the size of the wall) and the United States flag hanging in my room. This is a blank wall without windows or anything against. It would be dishonorable to hang a flag like this?
Of course not. The sections of U.S. Code (federal law) certain customs State to display the flag. According to 4 USC ยง 7 (I): (i) When displayed either horizontally or vertically against a wall, the Union must be higher and the law proper of the flag, ie the observer's left. When displayed in a window, the flag should be displayed in the same way, with the union or blue field to the left of the observer on the street.
