growing new party in Cattleya orchids cane. What should I do?

I have a beautiful orchid Cattleya with 8 rods / growths in it. and during a heavy storm the other day, something fell on him and broke his right most recent growth in half. About mid-cane sugar. its just hanging there. so sad: (do not know what to do. if I cut the rest of the way and dust with cinnamon. or just leave it. who were either about to bloom too! I think this will not flower: ((Please help! TX;)

How do I care for a jewel orchid?

My boyfriend bought me a Jewel orchid as a gift and I never care separation plants in Cactus, they rightly do not need care. Does anyone have some tips for caring for this type of orchids or orchids in general? IE .. How do I water them, how many times a day, the best place to keep them etc. Thanks in advance

Almost all orchids are benefiting from a period in the garden. There is something about the outdoors, no matter how brief period, which gives effect to them mature their pseudobulbs, preparing for heavy flowering. European gardeners came across this done long ago.

A wooden deck can be protected by a strip of paper Tar or galvanized tin on which lies a layer of wet gravel.
