Chinese elm Bonsai – Why do leaves turn yellow?
I just bought a bonsai tree Chinese elm. I decided to change the soil to Gro miracle. But leaves began to turn yellow and now I have too many yellow leaves. Even the new leaves turn yellow ones. Is this the result of a new change or could be something more? What can I do to save my tree?
If the tree was originally in a bonsai soil mix, the change in the mixture of potting soil miraclegro can carry as much water. This could cause yellow leaves quickly. I can also imagine there is any transplant shock, that is caused to the elm trees lose their leaves, but they say that new growth is also yellowing, I'd say it's the floor. Although never a sick tree transplanting is a good idea, it might be necessary in this case, unless you want to wait and see if the tree adapts to the ground. Personally I would like to replant. Soil in the pot not support the regular bonsai techniques at all. If the ground has changed little, the shock of replanting another may be worth the gain to get the right tree in the ground.
